Today I'm guest-blogging at Waking Ambrose defining expatriate, so I guess I can send you there. The photo you'll see is me, taken during the late sixties, when I was seven or so. Should I take that as my profile image? The one I'm using now seems to frighten people.
Oh, I promised to send you someplace brilliant each day, didn't I? Not that Doug isn't brilliant, but he should be more particular about his guests. How about this post at Hauptwege und Nebenwege (Highways and Byways), the blog of Portuguese composer César de Oliveira, in which we discover the secret of one expat's road to success, fame, fortune and happiness. *Organ music up*

Good definitions, but a bit hard on atonal music, I thought.
Funny link. Is that guy really a composer?
It's embarassing, but I didn't realize that César de Oliveira was a composer until just recently, though I've been reading his blog for a long while. That explains all the references to music! I must be the densest blogger in the universe (next to Pansi). Here's a short biography from an online source.
Hi indeterminacy. Just got here over Doug´s page and am enjoying myself perfectly here. And yes you might wanna change your profile picture...I was slightly scared :)
You don't scare me. The beard is obviously a defense mechanism. That was a funny presumé?
I just wanted to say hello... I lurk here regularly, and you do have a brilliant blog!
Some people go for scary, other for cute. Have you got a cute pic. of you? (just kidding)
I often read your blog, but mostly don't feel that I have anything to contribute. Not that that always stops me.
You did an excellent job over at Doug's.
I vote to change the picture. Mainly because I feel that the one you currently use is too difficult to see. That may very well be your purpose of course. I don't think you should use the cute one that's over on Doug's site. Yours isn't a "cute" site. The mysterious photo works better with your "theme." So maybe you could play with the current one. Make it a tad less dark.
I think you should use the childhood photo over at Doug's blog and put it here for us to write stories about it.
Wake me when it's my turn. And technically most of what's popular today qualifies as "atonal". It's got a good beat but can I shoot people to it?
That profile pic has a mystique quality like your stories. Great job over at Doug's.
Hey Indy! Love the "atonal" definition! The picture is cute, however your current profile picture seems more fitting, I think. What's wrong with being a little scared? Nowadays people pay money to be scared by professionals in the movies ;-)
And I got professional help with satire for free. Thanks, Indie.
Elli: Thanks and good point. Maybe I could sell my picture oto the Hamburg Dungeon (it's right down the stree from my office). As for atonal, it turns out there's lots of atonal music that I enjoy, but just didn't know that it was atonal ;-)
Doug: Who said anything about free? I was just working out my bill!
