The ghost was out looking at new apartments. His old haunt had gone drastically downhill. Inner city. Condemned buildings. Crime. The usual. He looked rather silly rattling chains in front of gang members doing the same. His own efforts notwithstanding, the neighborhood had become quite frightening, so he drifted out to the suburbs to see what life was like there. This particular attic room endeared itself to him immediately with its sensitive aura of Kafkaesque paranoia, the kind where it seems like the walls are perpetually closing in on you but leave the final contraction to the imagination. The view with the shadows was nice, too. He took it. Hopefully the neighbors wouldn't be too loud.

Story #150

Hopefully the ghost wouldn't step over the ghostly garbage bag and annoy his ghostly wife, but take it down himself!

Thankyou for chiming in on the garbage bag silliness!

don't know if i said this before, but you make me see the pictures much more completely and more interestingly than i would normally. you are like the ultimate picture tour guide.

The amazing thing is, I rarely see the pictures optimally myself. I keep my monitor brightness/contrast set at a level where the glare doesn't wear on my eyes. But that level of brightness sometimes masks important details, leading to bloopers. Like in the Garden of Eden story, there's a house in the background. Or yesterday's story, you can see it's not really a forest, but the entrance to a garden or something. I hope people will forgive me!

What is there is never as important as what you see. Perception is everything, reality is nothing. Or so it seems in American politics and what people tell your manager at work about you.

This looks like a nice neighborhood, hopefully the spook got a good price through its real estate agent. "His old haunt..." Ahahahha!
