I stumbled upon an incredible blog with impressive poetic prose: "ritual acts with penquins" by Cocaine Jesus. You have to read him.

Indie Sir, your story from last night cannot possibly suck.

Thanks for your confidence in me. Maybe those words were too strong. But something seemed missing when I read over it again. I have a directory filled with photos and half stories. I just don't talk about them much.

Gerard: I found a lot of blogs that way, or just by looking at the random referrals in my log. This one I found through my own links! I link to a blog that the Cruel Virgin contributes to, and aw one of Jesus' poems.

You need to post those "crappy" stories of yours.
Doing that will boost our egos.
We will think, "Wow, MY story is much better than his. I must be good."
It's like hanging out with people who are worse off than you are. It always makes you feel better about yourself. That's why fat people seek out friends who are fatter than they are. They feel thinner by comparison.

Mrs. Weirsdo: I bet even Pansi would enjoy his poetry.

Cocaine Jesus: I think that's what shook me up last night. After reading a few of your pieces, I realized how pale my story was. BUt I've polished it and I guess everyone will have to live with it now, including me.

Jamie: We're not competing, are we? That's one misgiving I had about the weekend stories. I didn't want people to think it was a competition. Which is why I don't post my story until after the weekend, and why I don't read any of the posts until my story is finished. Anyhow, Doug has us all beat, so that should take off some of the pressure.
